90-Day Native

The challenge!

I'm Mary Goddard, an Alaska Native producer, forager, and storyteller. I’m setting out to eat only Alaska Native food for 90 days—and to document the entire experience. This means I will be eating what I have with the help of others foraged, fished or hunted for. This also means no food, sugar, flour, alcohol or even spices from the grocery store.  This journey is about honoring traditional foodways, exploring food sovereignty, and sharing how Indigenous knowledge can thrive in the present day. I am also deeply curious about the health benefits this lifestyle offers, from physical health to mental and spiritual health.

We need YOUR support! As a passion project, 90-Day Native was fully documented out of hope and personal efforts. We kicked off filming in April 2025, and are looking for partners to help us cross the finish line with funding for post production and marketing.
