I am a Tlingit Artist, Kaagwaantaan, Eagle from the Bear House.

If I could I would hug you!

As my mentor would say, my art is nothing without you. I come from a warm culture with tens of thousands of years of history, knowledge and art forms. My landscape is rugged and wild. I grew up on the tip of Southeast Alaska: Yakutat, a fishing village that boasts mountainous terrain, long sandy beaches with icy waters for fishing and surfing. Currently my home is Sitka where I live with my husband and our son Ryker. Daily, I am inspired by our temperate rainforest adventures and epic ocean views.

I love to create a sense of awe, magic and wonder into my art. I hope this art beckons you, calls you to discover the beauty that is Alaska, and the beauty that is you.

I am grateful for you, the viewer, the buyer, the admirer and the encourager - it is a fuel that keeps this flame burning.

XOXO Mary

THANKS FOR STOPPING IN!
